When I was in school, from kindergarten through high school, we were taught and learned, by placing our hand over our heart, "The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America". The men in my family have served our country and I have every right to say America, "You have broken my heart". PTSD is an American condition. We have all pledged our allegiance and we are all involved in living within the destruction of our democracy.
