Some thoughts on immigration: We need workers. There is not presently enough workers in our labor force to maintain sustained economic growth. This shortage is also a factor in our inflationary pressures. We could easily and almost immediately cut illegal immigration by simply enforcing the employment laws prohibiting the hiring of illegals. Truth is that businesses want these folks but nobody wants to say it. More fun to just use immigration as a political wedge issue.
