The CMFD already has major issues with the new building, maybe another reason the General Contractor came in over $1.0m less than any other bid? 1. max occupancy doesn’t account for actual number of on duty Firemen, how is that missing from original plans? 2. some of the larger engines won’t fit on the driveway & will block daily traffic when the ladder is extended or vehicle being maintenanced. 3. The Comm’s Room was basically flooded before roof was weathertight. Seems like another Convention Hall mishap! This is what happens when non business individuals are making decisions for the City.
