A resolution on the agenda for the Tuesday 4/18 Cape May City Council meeting will transform the historic AME church on Franklin Street from a historic church to a theatre. The historical aspect of an important African American church will be lost by this action. It also appears that Cape May is arranging the funding for this transformation from church to theatre for the benefit of a singular non-profit organization.
