Gun related violence threatens our most fundamental human right, the right to life. Easy access to firearms – whether legal or illegal – is one of the main drivers of gun violence. Our rights are not protected if our leaders fail to tackle and stop gun violence and gun deaths. The answer is not more guns, the answer is banning semi-automatic firearms and banning the ammunition for them. That would be a good start. There is no reason why any yahoo should be able to buy these type of weapons legally.
