The founding fathers of this country were all either Christians or Deists. The country was not founded based on Atheism or Agnosticism. The European age enlightenment was never godless. Christians and Jews provided the moral philosophy that formed our ideas. Our society and our sense of morality has been enhanced by contributions of Muslims and Buddhists and Hindus among other. But for some reason we choose to ignore all of those wonderful moral paradigms to opt to live a hedonistic life style the like the world has never seen.
