Let"s talk credit card fees. I am not misinformed as i have a business. I do take cards and understand and share your generalized view that businesses that are cash only may have a sneaky reason for their policy. This being said, credit card companies charge swipe fees and a percentage on all transactions.... let's do some math... Let's say a biz does a million in gross sales. take out product cost ,overhead, taxes,payroll, etc. leaving the "net". credit cards are 70% of incoming sales. 3% of that is 21k. An owner that netted 80k take home now just gave 21,000 to cc company.
