To be male and African-American in this country is to confront, on a daily basis, a deeply held racism that exists in every social institution. Black men earn less than white men and women. Black men face a much higher chance of being incarcerated. Black men are much less likely than white men to rise up the income ladder. I could go on, but perhaps you see the point? By simply being born white, you have unfair advantages over blacks, hence the term "white privilege".
