During the February 21, 2023 Cape May Council Meeting an agenda item was added with little to no public notice. This concerned the ongoing desire by some to move the Colonial House Museum. Is the Greater Cape May Historical Society aware of this plan? I would think that moving a building as old as and historically important as the Colonial House would be very expensive. The move must be well planned with extremely competent movers and engineers. Does this move require HPC approval? Or will the City just move it. City Council must explain, in detail, why this historic building must be moved.
