re: gun control... the reason that there is so much division is that there are very few effective solutions that exist. Democrat's solutions only affect the law abiding gun owners and would do little to nothing to prevent gun crime. One option that would actually make a difference is mandatory minimum sentencing such as "Crime with a gun mandatory 10 years". This would only affect violent offenders and would remove them from society for a while.
