The FBI is speaking with a Navy veteran who recently alleged that Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., essentially stole thousands of dollars from an online fundraising campaign intended to cover lifesaving surgery for his service dog. The veteran said he believed the money and operation would have saved his dog’s life. If this turns out to be true and Santos is convicted, he is facing serious jail time. Americans love baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet but above all they love veterans and dogs. He really stepped in it this time. Ouch!
