The Cape May comment on all the junky signs and banners along the beachfront entrances. Here is a comment from a friend of ours from Spain that visited us this summer. He politely asked me the same question and my reply to him, "Most Americans are basically sheep and have to be led around by the nose for everything and our government thrives on this".
