I’m an avid cyclist-have been for >40 years. I follow all the rules of biking-essentially held to the same standards as motorized vehicles. However, the “new, motorized”( ie battery-driven vehicles, oh I’m sorry I mean bikes, mopeds, and scooters, so popularized by the green new deal) follow no rules except their own. In fact, they ARE “motorized”vehicles-just not gas powered that self-propel at speeds of 25 mph or greater with absolute disregard for any safety considerations and complete disrespect for established laws. Law enforcement of their indiscretions-nonexistent,why? Any thoughts?
