re the recent Herald article “ overdose awareness day aims to reduce stigma” is yet another attempt to normalize what is clearly abnormal behavior. Getting one’s self so addicted to drugs that one can no longer function as a human being in society is not a behavior that should be normalized in my opinion, as it is behavior that is not practiced by the overwhelming majority of people in our country. While I agree that these people need help, and it must be provided, showing children that this might be one day considered normal is one of the most frightening proposals I have seen in my life.
