The college admissions process is full of noise -- from counselors, schools and parents. The one true way to determine if your kid is ready for college is by taking the SAT's. All of the nonsense about the tests not being fair is really coming from colleges whose admissions are down. They want to let as many kids in as possible, even if they shouldn't be there.
