I’d like to chime in on the self pumping gas controversy since I worked at a station pumping gas for a summer when off from school, and I slept in a vacation inn last night! Trust me folks it’s a hard job, and many do it on a full time basis. These people work hard, non stop, all day. I have had people pop out, cig in mouth, and try to pump! Please don’t do this! Many more fires in self pumping states due to careless behavior by customers. Gasoline is volatile stuff, and you are much safer in your car than you are out in the open. Also the pump handle is a nasty place, and if possible avoid.
