“ It’s a Republic, if you can keep it.” Benjamin Franklin’s words on the steps of Independence Hall following the agreement of the second Continental Congress to structure our government with a President and two houses of Congress that would REPRESENT THE WILL of the PEOPLE. That great idea, that great vision has devolved into a group of parasites that go to DC to enrich themselves and only “represent” special interests to raise money for the next election. Today’s system is a bastardization of the Franklin vision. Can we keep this republic? Only if there are real Patriots .
