Some clarification on the Keystone Pipe line that Republicans say needs to be reopened. The Keystone Pipe line has been operational since 2010 from Canada to Texas and produces thousands of barrels of oil per day. The Keystone XL pipeline however was only 8 % completed when it was shut down by TC Energy on June 9 ,2021. The type of oil from the XL pipeline is called tar sands oil which contains clay, sand and water .It is the dirtiest fossil fuels on the planet. There were valid claims that the refined tar sands oil wouldn't even have been sold in the U.S. and used in our vehicles.
