A recent Spout claims that Biden's revoking of the Keystone XL pipeline caused the loss of 42,000 jobs. The number is vastly overstated. The company that owned the pipeline is best able to estimate the number of jobs lost: 1000 at most. And a great majority of those would be temporary. In fact, had the pipeline been completed, no more than 50 jobs would have been needed to maintain it - and some of THOSE would be in Canada. The damage oil extraction and pipeline construction would have done to our environment and Canada's cannot justify the creation of a relative handful of jobs.
