A recent Quinnipiac poll posed this question to both Republicans and Democrats: If America were invaded, would you stay and fight, or flee the country? 68% of Republicans would fight, while 25% would flee. Among independents, 57% would stay and fight, while 36% would flee, and among Democrats, 52% would stay and fight, while a full 40% would flee the country. These results say to me that while many Democrats like to enjoy the freedoms of America, a disproportionate amount would flee rather than fight for their freedom. They profess to be all about democracy, but seem to want others to fight.
