I wasn’t interested in a Trump’s “Putin is s genius “ speech, so I don’t know the context. But Putin May very well be a genius, as was Hitler, Stalin, Mao etc. genius and evil are not mutually exclusive. The silly American left loves to classify their opponents as not smart; deplorables? People clinging to guns and Bibles? Lots of people who are bad are very smart, and lots of good folks are not. Ignoring your opponents intelligence and guile is the height of hubris. Putin, may be a genius, but one who greatly underestimated the strength of the Ukrainians.
