One of the NRA's favorite arguments in opposition to every gun control law is "criminals don't obey laws". If the argument has any validity, why have any laws about any criminal behavior? Do criminals not obey laws against rape or arson? Might as well repeal all those laws. How about child pornography or identity theft? If criminals don't obey those laws, should we wipe them off the books? Some states are passing laws to address criminal activity in the form of voter fraud. If criminals don't obey laws, these laws are pointless and worthless.
