Spouters that commented about overdevelopment in the county not being a problem couldn’t be more wrong. Development increases property taxes, not lowers them, and destroys wildlife habitat and scenery. They are not all second homes either. This county doesn’t have more open space than any other county. Research it. Development and population growth are the greatest threat this county faces. It’s sad to see how much open space has already been lost to development that never should’ve been allowed.
