Re: Rent to locals. NO! We have a rental and will never rent to a local again! Too many get in and stop paying rent after the first month and it is almost impossible to get them evicted. The rental across the street had the same problem. There is an epidemic of people who know how to milk the system here, who pray on local landlords and the laws help them do it. I would rather have our extra house sit empty than go through that nightmare again.
