Social workers, increased background checks for gun purchases, and all of the other ‘reforms’ mean nothing without vigorous enforcement and prosecution. Until we stop treating the criminals like victims, crime will continue to rise. Police and the courts can’t be bothered with ‘root causes’ they have to worry about our safety. The rest of government can deal with that while they lock up the bad guys.
