Sea Isle City wants the Army Corp of Engineers to erect a barrier in Townsend Inlet to help minimize storm surges-sounds good but the city fathers are allowing bigger houses covering a higher percentage of lots and concreting anything that is green- bare ground absorbs water, concrete does not, The City Fathers having given up even acting like they support smart development that would help with minimizing flooding ,Council makes the rules and appoint the Zoning and Planning Board members. Looks like you guys have succumbed to unrestricted development hoping , for a Hail Mary from the Federal Gov’t.
