Attended the Patriot's Ceremony down at the Cove. One speaker acknowledged a CM fireman who volunteered in NYC after the 9/11 attacks. Got a round of applause. What was not mentioned was the firefighter was still on the payroll by the city. He was getting paid by the city and using the city's car to get to NYC. I know guys who volunteered and did not get paid. Drove up at their own expense. The speaker should be more truthful next time.
