I was sitting at my American Legion Post last Friday looking at all of the old men. Every now and then it slips my consciousness that these old guys aren’t from my Dad’s WWII generation, they are from mine. The same kids who yesterday were listening to the Doors and Supremes and Johnny Cash are all the old guys. Time flies, but I guess all old veterans flock together. There were no parades, no celebration, no, “Thank you for your service.” Let’s do a lot better for these ‘kids’ who gave their best in the Middle East. Tomorrow, they will be the old guys
