There can be no such thing as a “black national anthem.” Black people make up about fifteen percent of the population of this nation, and as far as I know, they have not seceded and created a black states of America. For better or worse, we are one country, white, black, brown and varying hues in between. People who seek to divide us and encourage that separation are the enemies of Freedom and Equality. Unlike Elijah Mohammed, Martin Luther King preached unity. People who play a new, separate anthem need a new, separate country. This one is for everybody.
