As if Pacific Avenue needs parking more than it needs a small business in a historic building that brings money into town. Once that historic building is demolished, it’s gone forever. Plus, J1 STUDENTS DON’T DRIVE CARS! And if parking is really needed, why not put it where there are plenty of empty lots? Why not build a parking garage on an empty lot and reduce the blight of parking lots everywhere? Parking lots don’t equal a vibrant downtown, they equal eyesores. Let’s be more creative.
