One definition of socialism is a system in which the means of production is under social control rather than by private ownership control, and production is geared toward needs satisfaction rather than profit. Communism is an economic ideology that advocates for a classless society in which all property and wealth are communally owned. China and North Korea are communist; we are capitalist.
