The mayor of Sea Isle has obtained a special exception to allow pets onto the beaches until 5/1.( it was formerly 3/15 in an agreement made with NJ Fish and game.) I don’t know why we have to subject our children to stepping in dog poop on the beach . The 3/15 date would have provided for proper degrading before beach season but May 1 obviously does not. Of course the primary problem is that day trippers think it’s great to walk on the beach and allow their dogs to defecate at will. ( I live on the beach and less than 50% pick it up) Don’t we have enough viruses around without dog poop.?
