The day either party kills the senate filibuster rule, we move from being a governed democracy to a political junta. We are close to that now, with strict party line votes due to an unwillingness to negotiate or compromise, using reconciliation along with King Joe and his executive orders. Filibuster is what our forefathers saw as a mechanism which forces our republic to to be governed as a democracy with bipartisan law making participation. Ending filibuster takes the limits completely off. Dems now control all 3 branches of government but with the D-party no amount of power is enough.
