To the person from Cape May/Philadelphia who thinks teachers are paid too much, try again. My daughter has been teaching in Camden, NJ for 15 years. She has a Masters Degree & a reading certification and they have her teaching Kindergarten. She hasn't had a pay increase in 7 years. They changed the number of steps to make it harder to get your increase. Additionally they raised the teachers co-pay to almost 40 % of the insurance payment. Her house looks like a classroom while she's virtually teaching plus we have to pay someone to stay with our grandson while he is virtually learning.
