I agree that Avalon's taxes are too high. Our town is constantly involved in a lot of lawsuits. Why? That is one of the many reasons why Avalon's budget is so so high for a small town. Avalon's budget is $37 million dollars. Unheard of for such a small. Stone Harbor, on the other hand, which is 70% as big, has an $18 million dollar budget. So Avalon is 50% bigger, but spends 100% more. Why? How can that be? Are the officials in Stone Harbor so much better at stretching a dollar? There is not only room for improvement, it may be the biggest room in the house.
