A Spout suggests that, because of Russia's recent cyber hack, the former top U.S. cybersecurity official's assurance of a clean presidential election is suspect. But Russia attacked government agencies this time, not our electoral process. And during his 4 years in office, Trump did not prioritize cybersecurity and repeatedly blamed China, not Russia, for cyberwarfare, practically inviting Russia to do it again. Finally, just as in the 2016 presidential election, Putin preferred that Trump occupy the White House, because Putin knows that he can expect favorable treatment from Trump.
