A plea to all...please keep peace on Election Day and the days and weeks to follow. This is not a third world country. Violence and rioting have no place here. This is a democratic republic with a constitution that says that the president is chosen by the electoral college. If we don’t agree with that, we need an amendment to the constitution to abolish the outdated electoral college. Our founding fathers instituted it because they thought back then that too few citizens were literate, and would have a hard time choosing wisely. Now people are educated.
Moderator's Note: The Electoral College was also instituted to prevent the high population states from dominating the smaller states.
