I read with interest the spout from North Cape May about firetrucks. With Town Bank Fire Company looking to buy a new ladder truck, could it be about them? Do they shop for the best deal or just continue with the same company? Since it's my tax dollars, I want to know. In these hard times, we all have to cut back on our spending. I understand that most of the parts on fire trucks are outsourced meaning that the parts that matter are all the same no matter the truck manufacturer. Why pay more for the name on the outside of the trucks? Generic will put out the fire as well as brand name.
