Trump's relentless push to reopen the US economy regardless of the human cost, and all of the distractions to control his failures have not worked so far, including the race-baiting earlier this summer with the confederate statues and the Nascar debacle. He is trying to get Americans to focus on anything other than the raging virus and how is lack of leadership screwed up the US response to it.
