If NJ communities plan to defund police, respectfully, please allow citizens to carry for their own protection. NJ seems to have some of the strictest gun laws in the country. The funny thing is, bad guys can always get a gun, they already have no regard for the law. If there will be less police, then I wish to carry my own protection. I will train properly, maintain it and pass annual testing if required but I think this is reasonable request.
