I have been wondering what happens when someone recovers from Covid and is released from the hospital after a lengthy stay in ICU? Many have lost their job and therefore lost their medical insurance. Some never had any insurance. I was in the hospital in 2016 for 11 days, only 4 in ICU and the bill was $83,000. Believe me, the bills never stop rolling in. Thank God for Medicare and my supplemental insurance! Has anyone had the same situation-probably. How do the uninsured people pay? Maybe they have to sell everything they have or declare bankruptcy. Maybe socialized medicine isn’t so bad.
