After years of being told how bad the public schools in our country are, a threat by Trump to open them just shows how relevant schools and teachers are to this country. The number one job of schools is to educate. But a close second is the babysitting service they provide. It is time for teachers to be paid what they deserve. A starting salary of $100,000 would not be unreasonable.
