Police Departments should look like the community they serve. Police contracts provide salaries that are 2x the average salary of a family in Lower Township. We need to abolish all Police Departments in the County and form a new Cape May County Police Department with salaries and benefits that are found in the private sector. Paying for the healthcare of retired police is a burden on the taxpayers.
