Unleashed dogs are a problem no doubt. What about the dogs on leashes though with clueless owners? How about those just allow their leashed dog to encroach upon pedestrians, including ones with small children? I don’t know if your dog is friendly, and frankly I don’t want your dog to be close enough to inflict a possible injury to my unsuspecting toddlers. Please keep your dogs at a distance while my children and I enjoy a walk. I teach my children not to approach strangers (including dogs) ;don’t undermine me by saying “he’s friendly you can pet him!” This creates an attractive danger.
