The West Wildwood budget, published in this newspaper ,shows 27 employees in the general budget and 10 employees working for the borough in the sewer utility budget. That is a total of 37 employees working in the tiny Borough of West Wildwood, where we have some 600 full-time residents! That is one employee for every 200 residents! That would mean that Wildwood, with some 2,500 residents should have 463 employees. No wonder our property taxes are so high! An average salary of $35,000 a year, with benefits and pension is $55,000 a year times 37 employees equals $2,035,000 a year.
