Don't count out state Supreme Courts. They are empowered to slap down governors and legislatures that overreach in the name of state emergency. One state Supreme Court has already acted. I doubt the New Jersey Supreme Court will be far behind. The double secret is that many of the emergency measures are probably unconstitutional. This means that future rules will have to be imposed with the consent of the governed, almost voluntarily. So it's a good time to think of social distancing rules that are acceptable to you and to your neighbors. I'd figure it all out myself if I wasn't so busy
