No inmate at the county jail would ever offer a word of thanks to the guards, but the Correction Officers and Sheriff's Officers are placing themselves in harm's way to earn a paycheck. Not only are they placing themselves in danger, but they are also endangering their families since they might carry the virus to their homes. These and other law enforcement officers get a well-earned salute for doing a job not many of us would want to do.
