The City of Wildwood must do a much better job of code enforcement on commercial and residential properties in the city. Our city is full of neglected properties that are run down eyesores with trash-strewn lots. Some properties are structurally failing and should be torn down. This along with the ridiculously-high property taxes are the reasons why our city is not getting redevelopment like other shore towns. Investors would rather spend more for a condo, house or lot elsewhere than to buy here where there are cheaper buys but it is not appealing because of the trashed properties.
