Cape May County has no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at this time and many of the year round residents of the shore communities and even the mainland areas surrounding them are elderly. Although we are closing schools, limiting visitors to the hospital and nursing homes and canceling activities, owners from NY, PA and elsewhere in NJ, places that do have COVID-19 cases, are starting to flock to the shore, shopping in our markets and pharmacies, packing our open bars and restaurants. Isn't the goal at this time to isolate ourselves and limit the spread of the virus? Something to consider.
