The city should consider moving its dispatching center to the county centralized system. I am sometimes appalled listening to the scanner, and hearing how unprofessional the local dispatchers are. The police, EMS, fire, and public calling in need deserve better. It would also save the taxpayer's money. Makes me wonder why the mayor, who is also the county freeholder in charge of public safety, hasn't led by example with his own town.
